In a world where values and ethics are often overlooked, a one-day Character Education program, focused on sexual purity and the Divine Principle, took place at the Peace Embassy, Johannesburg, on Saturday 05 October 2023, under the auspices of the Women's Federation. This event aimed to empower young people with the knowledge and values necessary for building a strong moral foundation and fostering healthy relationships.
The program featured lectures on the Divine Principle, a set of beliefs rooted in the Unification Church. Mr. Constantine Mapfumo, a knowledgeable speaker on the topic, shared the principles of love, faith, and hope that the Divine Principle advocates.
Mrs. Flory Ledwaba, WFWP Africa Regional Secretary General and a passionate advocate for healthy relationships took the stage to discuss the concept of healthy love. Her lecture emphasized the importance of practicing true love, self-respect, mutual respect, and the boundaries within relationships. It is a step-by-step method of practicing sexual purity. Participants engaged in an open dialogue about building and nurturing healthy relationships and making responsible choices in matters of love and intimacy.
The one-day Character Education program on healthy love and the Divine Principle was a significant step toward nurturing a more ethical and enlightened society.
