From October - December 2024, WFWP Ghana embarked on a construction project of toilet facility in Amamoley in the greater Accra region. The project of constructing a toilet facility was important because the community school that was chosen is first of all a school in which WF-Ghana has some students under our scholarship scheme. In addition, the student body did not have a place of convenience whenever they needed to respond to nature’s call. The girls were more disturbed during their menstruation  period as there was no appropriate place for them to change themselves. WFWP- Japan therefore decided to sponsor the construction of the toilet facility. The Executives of WFWP-Ghana organized several meetings with the school’s authorities and finally a venue was allocated for the building. Work on the field stated since October 2024 and by December, the building has been roofed. The finishing work in been done and hopefully the keys will be given to the school’s authorities in the months to come.
