by: Myoga Molisho Manzi

On 23 November 2024, WFWP Cape Town, embark on a Community Service project in partnership with Chief Koleka Kupa of Vrygrond Capricorn, Cape Town.

This activity was conducted with the aim of strengthening the relationship between Chief Koleka Kupa and WFWP Cape Town. The WFWP Cape Town went to the Chief’s area called Vrygrond Capricorn and cleaned 3 different streets.

Thereafter, the ladies went back to the Chief’s house to cook and serve the community. 151 people were fed and were happy. While cleaning, young children joined, and the ladies (4 mothers and 2 youth) received a standing ovation at the end of their services. This was heart moving. The Chief’s grandson came and cleaned the street from the beginning until the end. He even invited his friends to assist in carrying the waste to the waste dump.

Chief Kupa, a Peace Ambassador, is willing to give her resources and human resources to contribute to the growth and activities of WFWP. This was the beginning of building this relationship.
