WFWP Burkina Faso Chapter Extends a Helping Hand: Donating Hope to Displaced People

By Aimee Kabore

Women’s Federation for World Peace Burkina Faso chapter organized a donation of support for internally displaced people (men, women, and children who were victims of violence by terrorists and fled their villages, leaving empty-handed to take refuge in the city). This activity took place in the morning of Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Ouagadougou in the Kamboinsin district at the headquarters of the Association Nomwaya for the Development of Mother and Child.

The Association Nomwaya for the Development of Mother and Child is an association that works in humanitarian aid; we gave these donations to this association, which will then be responsible for sending them to the concerned people. These donations are mainly composed of clothes, blankets, and shoes that we have collected earlier from our various members, then packaged and assembled in bags ready to offer. Mrs. Ouedraogo Bintou President of this association was very grateful to the WFWP for these donations. She thanks the WFWP Burkina staff and all its members for this immense gesture of support.

To thank us, Mrs Ouedraogo and her association offered us a gift (handmade soaps and shea butter) from the part of her association. She promised to work together with WFWP to learn a lot from our teachings and peace messages so we can move forward together to achieve our various objectives. She also expressed deep gratitude for the words of our true mother (from her autobiography) and she expressed a great desire to have this book after we had read and shared a part of it.
